Situation: (you do not have to read)
I got something unexpected in the mail recently. Usually I peg a visit to the doctor's about 50-75 USD. When I got three large bills that total 1308 USD for two visits to the allergist, my mind and wallet are blown. First of all, the most the allergist did was do a pulmonary test which I am assuming it is the price listed as diagnostic lab (48 USD), the second time I visited, it was a drug response, I took a pill (which they did not provide, but I purchased myself) and sat in the waiting room for 2 hours to see if anything would happen. (87 USD) That means my first visit cost 1173 USD! (my mind cannot comprehend that. I have called my insurance, they said they have already paid their part and I should expect an itemized bill (it's been 2 weeks). I am assuming that they are not going to pay for anymore, a
